What are geotextiles?
Types of film geotextile:
Geotextile , also called film geotextile made of PP or PET fibers by needling or knitting is a kind of permeable geosynthetics industry textilel .
The finished product is cloth like, with a general width of 4-6m and a length of 50-100m. Geotextiles have 2 types which are woven geotextiles and non-woven geotextiles.
Geotextile has the functions of filtration, drainage, isolation, reinforcement, seepage prevention and protection, with light weight, high tensile strength, good permeability, high temperature resistance, freezing resistance, aging resistance and corrosion resistance.
What are Geomembranes?
Geomembrane is made of high-density polyethylene, which is mainly used for anti-seepage. Geomembrane, the geomembrane at the construction site is a composite of plastic film and non-woven fabric, whose impermeability mainly depends on the impermeability of plastic film.
At present, the plastic film used for anti-seepage at home and abroad mainly includes polyvinyl chloride (PVC geomembrane), polyethylene (PE), EVA (ethylene / vinyl acetate copolymer).
They are a kind of polymer chemical flexible material with small proportion, strong elongation, high deformation adaptability, corrosion resistance, low temperature resistance and good frost resistance.
What are Composite Geomembranes?
Main mechanism: the composite geomembrane is used to cut off the leakage channel of earth dam with the impermeability of geomembrane liner, to bear the water pressure and adapt to the deformation of dam body with its larger tensile strength and elongation;
The non-woven geotextile 200g is also a kind of staple polymer fiber chemical material, which has higher tensile strength and elongation through needling or hot sticking forming.
After it is combined with geo membrane liner, it not only increases the the tensile strength and puncture resistance, as well as the rough surface of the non-woven fabric, increase the friction coefficient of the contact surface, which is conducive to the stability of the composite geomembrane and the protective layer.
At the same time, they have good corrosion resistance to bacteria and chemicals, and are not afraid of acid, alkali and salt erosion.
Different Application Scope :
1.Geotextiles play the role of reinforcement, isolation and layering, filtration, drainage and stabilization in the project.
2.Geomembrane is mainly used in the field of engineering construction, such as anti-seepage, isolation, enhancement, crack prevention, reinforcement, horizontal drainage and other projects with high anti-seepage requirements.
3.Composite Geomembrane:Geotextile and geomembrane can act alone, or they can be combined to play their respective advantages together.
